just with everyone saying they not worth the extra $$$,

my T cost me $53k onroad, so I'm guessing the Typhoon will cost $57-59-ish including on-roads.

An extra 4-6K and I get a full sexier bodykit, 18's, better suede/leater sports seats, extra 30kw power, extra 100nm torque, plus the little bits (FPV alarm, Defensive Driver course, alloy pedals, FPV starter button) all in a "Limited Edition" beast that will turn more heads than my current T.

forgot some bits, Much better brakes standard, and the "gearbox" remains to be seen, the FPV site is listing it with a 5-speed manual. ie the XR8 box I'm guessing. Eitherway is an improvement over what the standard T has.

It is actually quite well priced ...... in my opinion.

Yeh the age old argument, mod the cheaper one or go the bit more expensive one and get the whole package, with exclusiveness, warranty and piece of mind, APS and Nizzpro awsome stuff but I worry bout resle and reliabilty and warranty, I personally don't want open the bonnet for anything, just enjoy the thing as good as it is, After you stage 3, fix the tranny, get bigger stoppers, I think modded xr6t will cost more than typhoon, maybe even GT, and resale will definately be worse, I will definately audition Typhoon.

I don't think (and correct me if I'm wrong) I've read/seen any sign that the Typhoon will be fitted with the brembo's factory.

as this is a $5k upgrade (from memory) I doubt ford would cut off thier nose to spite their face and most likely will fit the Premium brakes std with the ultimate upgrade.

the proof will be in the pudding when it hits the streets.

at the moment everything is heresay...

I love my T, at the moment I won't be changing it.

further to this, looking again in the picture in thread: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...?showtopic=9333

it does say in small caps at the bottom, vechile shown with optional brembo brakes.. so yeah...

I still think the T6 will be between the 65k-70k on road.

which puts it nearly 15k clear of what I payed for mine.

If I could afford it: I would seriously consider this car. But I wouldn't/couldn't make a decision until I knew final production specs, such as power, torque, transmission, driveline, brakes and of course price.

In particular I'm interested in the tranny, the Melb. motor show car just had the old T5 stuck in it and the guy said he could not discuss future product development with me. :hrmm:

Basically I would need to know all the facts and a test drive before signing on the dotted line. All in all I love the car, it's very subtle not over done and in your face like a HSV GTS for example.

Good work FPV! <_<

This car is gonna KILL GT sales! BIG time! More individual as nothing else looks like it, more GO than any other Ford will have( I have no doubt a 270kw turbo will slaughter a 290kw V8), and at the same or cheaper price than the other FPV cars! I hope they're ready for the demand this thing will have.

Dissagree Mark, it will never sound or look anywhere near as good as GT, and its still a turbocharged sixpot, heaps of people I know just don't like those two words and will never have one, call it tradition I don't know, but the big thumping V8 is here to stay, mmmmmmmm lets see, "Inline six turbo supercar championship" sorry I cant see it. For the same price I would go the GT but at 5 grand cheaper, I would definately consider it, I hope it sells well anyway, and takes the edge off the new Gen 4 v6 turbo commie.

Well if your basing your decision on the supercar championship you better forget the GT and buy the XR8 that the supercars are based on.

I think it won't destroy sales of the GT/GT-P but it will take some people away from them. Go the F6 Typhoon! :ta:

I know this is a little off topic, but when FPV designed the bodykit for the F6, why didn't they add a bonnet scoop? I know it's not to everyone's liking (or even necessary), but it would seem it needs some distinctinctive features compared to the GT.
