Just over 4 months old and in for the 15,000 service on Friday (without a problem). Spot on track to achieve the FBT 7% threshold of 40,000 km per year.

Out of interest, I would love to know what the average speed is that ppl are achieving. My driving is mainly highway so it has averaged 70 km/h so far.

I reset my trip computer around once a month, I average usually 40km/h and 15L/100k suprisingly lower than what I got when the car was stock 17L/100k

200,000k's in a Volvo......wonder how many accidents that's caused

Volvos usually get around 2.5 near misses per litre of fuel around town and 1.5 on country roads. In terms of actual accidents caused, research indicates that there are many variables in this equation that even though not directly related to the vehicle, come as a complete package ie, volvo with driver wearing hat; volvo driven by elderly man. General consensus is that a volvo will cause one accident for every 150 litres of fuel used.

That research is only valid for male drivers of Volvos, female drivers were found to be far too unpredictable and totally skewed results.
