I hate the tack on and fn stick on stuff - prefer a clean and relatively stock dash. So the hands free mic will be tried up in hole of the front interior lights ( where the original mounts ) which aftermarket mics don’t perform well in enclosed areas. I had planned to install a iLX-W650E , as it was shallow enough to replace the original display . But the boss gave me an old iLx -107 ( I think that was it ) that was the same size, so that’s what I have installed. The current iLX-107 has changed to a single din chassis with a 7inch screen, which doesn’t fit so that is now out of the picture. I did ask Alpine about separating the 2 components but the answer was no, and no warranty if anyone did. So the W650E is the go. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I looked at the Alpine Freestyle 7” unit in the UK as the display is only 33.5cm deep, and it had DAB+, and uart, plus Alpine offered to get me one.
