It certainly seems to be a problem with some cars, but not others, and as far as Nizpro/Chiptorque has been able to decipher, it has something to do with the factory PCM. Testing will continue.Finding an appropriate clutch can be a problem, and I suspect that you are not the only one with that drama. As to the rough idle, I can guarantee you that we could get rid of that drama for you - if you were local it would simply be a case of dropping into a dealer or us, and we would fix it for free - of course.Great to hear that you concur with all others with the Stage 2 kit, it really does work well, and yep, on cold nights they can be a little scary.Excellent work, and if anything else comes up of interest, would love to hear from you.Greg Brindley. I run programmable engine management systems in E series Falcons and I get 700km out of a tank where as with the stock computer I would get 450km. You just tune the air/fuel ratio at 16.5 : 1 and bump the timing up to 45 to 50 deg advance at cruise (must use ultimate fuel). The problem is that NO emissions increase with the bumping up of the advance and the cat converter can melt with the high exhaust temps created. that's why the factory cant do the same. Peter explained that the noise was due to gear wear only. This is probably caused by Ford utilising incorrect oil and the service period being stretched out too far..... The car has done around 4000 KM since the upgrade, total 25, 000 km Garry Did he have a suggestion on the service period? (considering car has only done 25k?) There was another ute at Calder fitted with an APS phase 2 but I'm not sure what time was done.Robbie.
