Just wanting to know if I can just straight swap the whole instrument cluster with another with within 2000hrs. Does it need to be from a exact model as mine is a series 2 bf xr6 turbo? Does this mean it needs to be from a xr6 turbo or will a N/A or xr8 still have same cluster. Also does this create any problems with BCM or security? cheers for any advice

Truth of the matter is I have never had a engine light come up on the dash before but have had codes so got to thinking someone may have removed engine light globe, so I attempted to remove cluster to check not knowing there was screws on the bottom and thinking maybe plastic clips and I cracked the bottom of the cluster and now hazard light and dash controls on right hand side do not work anymore☹️. Maybe these are replaceable on there own than without replacing complete cluster?

If you get a cluster from a bf2 it will work. Even BF1 may work. V8 or 6 doesnt matter. Auto or Manual No recoding. But you need to get low series or high series. If your trip button is on the side buttons of the cluster it's low series. Edited 02/09/19 06:50 AM by arronm
