Got a bf Ute and my traction control button is there obviously but there is no light that comes on. Just got me p’s and wanna do some mad skidz anyone know. k31th less WHY; more WOT Site Developer 29,053 Member For: 16y 8m 14d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 08/08/19 01:40 PM Share Posted 08/08/19 01:40 PM 1. the traction control button should cause the light to come on if you press it. 2. if you try to lose traction in the wet you'll notice the light flash and that's traction control activating. 3. if you're not getting the flashing ever or you cannot get the light to stay on permanently through the button then your traction control is likely disabled through some sort of circuit/electrical problem and you'll be able to do skids if you so desire. Due to the traction control I had no power whatsoever and my tyres regained grip whilst the car was sideways. An extremely dangerous "feature". Instead, I regained traction due to the T/C and ended up on the median strip. I fail to see how having T/C on is supposed to be safer. You basically lose control of the vehicle when it's activated.
