BLULMN New Member 2 Member For: 6y 4m 4d Posted 28/06/19 04:33 PM Share Posted 28/06/19 04:33 PM (edited) So boys have a ba manual Ute welded my diff a couple of weeks ago for some extra fun and I keep snapping the bolt that holds the leafs together, has anyone had this problem and found a real solution?? I’ve tried putting high tensile m8 bolts in but because the head of the bolts are so short the diff doesn’t have a comfy place to sit so the diff just slides back and forth. I’ve also tried putting a couple of nuts either sids of the leaf to stack it up a bit but I just bent and snapped them in seconds. They should be taking the load not the locating bolt.Sounds like it's twisting the axle left/right when you cornering.Also check the bushes are decent, if not get some metal plates to take up the slack where the bushes were.
