Avoid injectors that come with an adapter (two piece). Get ones that are the correct length and that are flow matched. Also see if you can get ones that don’t require an electrical adapter as well but most do.

Get the bosch "1000"cc injectors and be done with it. It's fine to use 3/4 length with adapters.

They drive like a stock injector and support enough power for the limit of a stock internal motor, when you decide you want all the boost.

Also lol at paying 2 grand for barely more than a stock tune.

if you buy a tune box for $700 and a tune for $1200 it's close enough to $2k... that's not terribly unusual for these cars... obviously it's cheaper if you don't buy a tune box, hence the large range of $.

Ask your tuner what components he recommends. Then when they tune it you will achieve the best outcome.

ArronM making sense for once.

People who buy hardware based on internet advice then take the car to their tuna and say “here make this work” then get annoyed when the parts run out or have issues and the car cant be tuned properly or to what they want. *insert eye roll*

Monza coolers... Jebus I didn’t even know they were still a thing.

Waste of money using a tune box, they're obsolete. Pcmtec is bringing tune switching to the table shortly. $1200 for a tune is too much with such basic mods anyway. It is a 10 minute job to set the tune up and then a bit of dyno time to check it's safe.

This is the important bit. Tuners don't know everything and the last thing you wanna do is show up with parts that they have to learn on. You pay them for a tune, not to use your car as paid training.

Id be real happy for 300rwks even 280.. I heard stock tune you can get around 230-240rwks so surely bigger injectors would push you up past that.. to give you 250+.. not lookin at spending heaps on it.. im honestly just thinking injectors and a tune at the moment..

Its an 07 BF mk11 xr6 turbo 157,000km on clock had 144,000 when I got it.

You'll be fine to go well past 300 then. Injectors, pump, cat, actuator and tune can make over 300 providing the valve springs are up to it, which they more than likely will be.
