Ladies and Gents

Strange thing has occurred twice in the last month. Driving along normally. Then all of a sudden I have lost gears. The engine revs freely like its in neutral but has been in gear.

 Pulled over.

Popped the clutch back in and away she goes. The clutch still seems to have plenty of bite.  Also it was replaced maybe 30,000 kms ago with a heavy duty kit.

Any thoughts on what this sounds like?

I've had a good search but couldn't find anything

Cheers!

seems like your clutch slave cylinder (CSC) is not disengaging properly, e.g. it's leaving the clutch disengaged and spinning so the torque is not transferred to the input shaft of the transmission. Then as you pump the clutch, it must clear some fluid into there and then it moves correctly for a moment. Probably some air in the clutch lines or a sticky clutch slave cylinder.
