Oh you mean new tyres. Yeah tyres are always a good investment. Don't bodge out on Tyres/brakes/suspension. But by the sounds of it you'll have that all covered :)

Yeah, you can't get retail unfortunately. Privately he should hopefully get about 30 :)

Personally I don't think I would cause I dont know that I've totally warmed to the FGX look.

me neither, I got pulled over by an FGX with flashing lights on the roof yesterday. 135kph in 110 zone. I would be posting in the "pissing you off" thread except he was lenient and considering what I've gotten away with its all good.

Ha classic yeah we've all had some attention

From the boys in blue at some point! Thanks for

The replies everyone I think I'm going to keep

The Mk ii. I paid 37k for it just over 12 months ago. Resale is going to be 30k at best privately,

Its too much of a hit to upgrade to the FGX considering some small mods will produce close to the same car. Definitely looking at the shock works coilovers. Dunno about brakes as it seems I will have to Ditch the mkii 19 inch rims

(the car has the lux pack) to fit brembos. I've

Read the XYZ front pack will fit the stock rims

Though & race brakes Sydney may have some

Other kits for FG's that fit stock rims as well.

Perhaps just the DBA T3 Rotors with good pads

Fluid flush & braided lines would be enough?

Power wise a tune would suffice initially but I can

See Ill prob want more. These new SS commos

Are going to be around 310kw With the LS3 motor & it would be nice to think it would be quicker !! Aah where does it end ??!!!!

Well mate I'd say most shops would do a stage 1 (which would be injectors, tune, re-gap plugs, maybe a cat as well) for about $3,000? Less if no cat. Correct me if I'm wrong folks but that should see a solid 275-300rwkw range. Get a nice intake while your at it and for $3,500 you'll have something with a heap more power than standard, and will sound great too. Then you'll have say $1,500 for suspension and might be able to pick up a second hand brembo kit or at least new DBA's and pads for a decent price too.

Yep sounds like a plan rubber is under control

Just put on 4 new

Bridgestone potenza adrenaline re003s so

Far very impressed with them much better than

The sport maxx which were flogged out just

Past 20,000k! More grip less vibration &

Pretty quiet considering their size

Good to hear mate.

Unfortunately it's hard to find a lot of tyres out there with great traction that are also long lasting.

Potenza's are quite a good all round tyre in my opinion so hopefully they serve you well.

Yeah, I'd keep an FG MK2 over an FGX...as others have said, I still haven't warmed to the looks of the FGX...just doesn't work for me.
