Hey everyone got another one for you guys...

Currently looking at a 2009 xr6T ute manual from a dealership. It has 8000kms on it.

Just wanted to see what you guys think as it had its 15000km service this time last year and has just had its 30000km service done. The thing that's a bit worrying for me is that it went from 09-12 with only the one service, would this be a worrying factor given the low kms?

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

After nearly 10 months in the N/A wilderness since I sold my beloved T it looks like I might be returning to the fold. I've been desperatly looking for a 50th Ann Ute in good cond and think ive finally found one.

I reckon it's tops. Love the 50th rims. Stickers are fine IMO, bit of chequered flag inspiration.

Had a good look at it but it was a bit rough considering it was only 3 years old so still looking.

Seen one down sydney way, might take a road trip.

Hi,

Been a while since I've posted here. I still haven't purchased an XR6 yet. I was looking for one a year or so ago, but things changed etc, so had to put it off.

Well I'm now starting to look again. My budget is pretty tight though. What I really want to know is are the BA XR6Ts worth looking at or not? My money can't stretch to a BF unfortunately and I need to get something soon so saving for longer isn't an option.

I test drove my first BA turbo on the weekend and man it was nice, but it had some issues that worried me (it had been tuned and most likely had the boost wound up, idle was terrible with lots of engine shudder too, but actual driving was great). Am I wasting my time looking for a stock standard BA XR6T in auto for around $10k? I have heard the supposed horror stories that the salesmen feed you to try and get you to spend more on a more expensive car instead: "the BA turbo engines aren't strong" "the BA auto box is sh*t" blah blah blah. As long as the car has been kept standard and serviced regularly most of these issues should be minimised, right?

I'm not looking to take it to the track. I'm not a hoon. I'm not even that young. I just want a family sized car, with a bit of grunt that isn't going to cost a fortune and the BA fits the bill. It unfortunately has to be auto because the wife can't drive manual, but doesn't that mean it's more likely that it hasn't been thrashed as much as a manual might have?

Am I close to the mark thinking like this or am I totally missing it?
