Certainly better if can shop local.

Assuming it has the zfAnd it has been well looked after with low k's the price isn't too bad. With the stronger rods I guess it depends on what power you are wanting out of the car

That happens a lot of carsales. They probably just used photos they had of another car in the same colour.Might be a coincidence the Kms, color and plates are the same discribed then

And the fact that the OP's mate is considering modding (if asking about the rods) then might aswell go BFII to be sure. The couple of $$ more for a newer model will save you the $$ in the future if you snap a rod

Mine is a late April 06 Mk1 and it received Heavy Duty springs. That said, Ford is reknowned for dipping into the parts bin and not dipping into the parts bin when it comes to manufacturing. For example, some BF XR's got illuminated door switches and others didn't, perhaps all because the person on the floor couldn't be bothered putting in the LEDs or Ford had none in stock? I am pretty sure they got the same engine as the F6, but with the smaller intercooler and less powerful turbo, of the XR6T. If this information is correct, it gives that model a much stronger engine for pulling more Kw out when tuning.
