But if I tried to keep up with an E46 M3 through a twisty section of road I would still be working really hard, even with the suspension mods I've made. Blynch55 Member 7 Member For: 12y 23d Posted 10/12/12 05:53 AM Share Posted 10/12/12 05:53 AM Thanks for the feedback guysNope the car is great it's just paying $450 for an oil change every 5000-6000 KMs and $2000 for a major service is starting to take its toll on me. Especially after paying the $5000 for the subframe repair I can't justify holding onto it anymore as it's a money pit and is my DD. I love the car, it's power and sound is amazing but at 22 can be $$$ and I need to draw the line somewhere. Reason I was looking at a falcon is because it's cheap to maintain, I could get a new or demo FG XR6T for basically what I would sell the M3 for and it's 4 doors so with the future of children very soon could be practical. I'm also looking at other options like a Golf R, Expensive Daewoo Bogan special or used GTS, bmw 335 and lexus 350. Basically keeping my options open and trying not to be bias to BMW. I didn't expect the overall quality of the ford to be the same as BMW, but is it really as bad as what everyone makes it seem haha? But yeah I know the M3 is a very good car (probably better then the XR6T [dont bash me for saying that but probably true]) but for the price it looks good. I think people just assume the bmw's are better just because theyre expensive

But if I was in your position I would get the Ford, or Gold R as I love those things. There are a heap of guys on this forum that haven't had many issues with their cars at all, plus being based on a taxi they are simple machines and you could find yourself doing most of your own servicing which is another plus. Take one for a drive, standard they are surprisingly quick.
Blynch55 Member 7 Member For: 12y 23d Posted 10/12/12 06:57 AM Share Posted 10/12/12 06:57 AM Oh I know how to change oil however don't have the ability to where I live. I could do a fair but of maintenance on it myself however I have a 5 year warranty on the car which requires certified mechanic work done on it (records etc) to maintain the warranty. I'l swap my 04 BAMKII M6 Sedan for your M3 (plus cash my way)Haha yeah sure seems legit
Henz Tampon inserted, Auto Acquired, next purchase a new handbag Donating Members 9,946 Member For: 16y 9m 13d Gender: Male Location: Vic Posted 10/12/12 07:00 AM Share Posted 10/12/12 07:00 AM Any Fg will blow your mind with acceleration IMO. If my dirty manual work ute pulls away from an M3 CSL with ease, an Fg's going to do it easier. As for interior, G6 is schmancy, Xr is ok, everyone seems to be forgetting its a 10year old beema, not new.
MADF6 Member 399 Member For: 16y 11m 10d Posted 10/12/12 07:57 AM Share Posted 10/12/12 07:57 AM (edited) Dump the 10 year old money pit, and spend a bit more for the F6.I bought my F6 after special consideration of buying an M3 or AMG C63 and decided for the dollars (1/3 the cost) at my age the F6 was a no brainer, plus I can drive it how I want. The other thing I've unexpectidly become to like is being the "under-dog mongrel" and not the "smancy-fancy pedigree"... That being said if you buy Ford please don't become one of the bogans...!
