Damn politicians, I never voted for him.I feel for the soon to be unemployed 55,000 people though. Very sad.

I went to ford in epping while my dog was getting washed next door and I was looking at a 2010 FG turbo luxpack with 12k on it. Window price was $34,000. He was telling me its never been registered onto a directors car and said he can go down to $32,000 if I really wanted it that day. Got his card and walked off. Went to there website and it was advertised for $26,990. Lucky I was only browsing

(Moora Ford in the WA wheatbelt)I'm going to wait until early next year now to see what they offer up and if they are still around current offers I will get the 2014 with the update. Stevebag Member 26 Member For: 11y 2m 26d Posted 12/12/13 04:37 AM Share Posted 12/12/13 04:37 AM (edited) I just purchased two months ago.I got a great price, but was prepared to compromise. In the end I got exactly what I wanted.I didnt visit any dealers in person, contacted 10 or so Ford Sales Managers (I talked to the fleet person in particular) in Melb Metro area on the phone, and asked for written quotes - all of em pretty much provided written quotes by the end of the day! They are pretty desperate at the moment - people seem to be flocking to the Expensive Daewoo dealer showrooms with recent VF release.....Told em the truth that I was a cash (fleet) buyer within the week - ready to sign, knew what I was after - I was after a stock turbo with auto and premium paint, and that price on road was my sole decision....dont want any aceesories, as it just raises the sticker price and therefore my FBT year on year (I novate)....What did I learn......if I want a particular colour, trim, accessory - you have to order, wait for next build run and pay hefty sticker price.....However - if your prepared to take a car they have in stock (undriven, unregistered but in stock) - they will do you an awesome deal.So - in the end - one dealer offered me a standard auto xr6 turbo, no options in blue for $38.5k on road. And gave me the written quote.I then went to the dealer who happened to have my preffered Mars Red car in stock, showed him the quote and asked him to match it.....he complained his Mars Red car had tint, leather, reverse camera and alloy spare, and that he'd have to add these to my quote.....so I started walking away.In the end - he relented to get the sale - and I now have a Mars Red turbo which is what I wanted, plus a whole bunch of extras at a pretty sharp price. So yes - haggle haggle haggle - but in all honesty, I was prepared to take most colours, as I really was a tight arse.....I just wanted a turbo XR6 - everything else was optional. Maybe not as many great deals due to being in WA, over East have lower transport costs and way more dealers within a couple hours drive of each other.Get Stevebag to buy for you at a ripper price then fly over to collect it from him and drive it back yourself hahaha! I have turbo envy now...
Stevebag Member 26 Member For: 11y 2m 26d Posted 18/12/13 05:35 AM Share Posted 18/12/13 05:35 AM Yep - I hear you on the lack of stock around....Dealer at the time told me that the next run of turbo's wasn't due down the line till Late Jan / Early Feb......So Im assuming there wont be much 2013 stock left around.....but keep trying - you never know your luck!I didn't realise they did them in batches at the time....I just thought you place an order and they build it on the line.....May sound silly - but it may pay to purchase interstate (if stock levels are better) and truck it over....I wonder how much freighting a vehicle from east to west would be?
