Hello, I picked up a FG xr6T last weekend and am planning on putting a dose pipe on it and was wondering where the best place to put it is?

Im aware that if I put the dose pipe near the battery and power steering, it will suck in too much hot air and will reduce performance. If I got the battery relocation kit and put the dose pipe and pod filter where the battery usually sits would it not suck in as much hot air and not loose any power?

The point of a "dose pipe" is the sound it makes, nothing more.

To get a decent result from a dose pipe, in terms of performance, you need to build an airbox around it (trust me, it's loud enough on higher than stock boost) and relocate the battery away from where the airbox will need to go.

I understand that the dose pipe is for sound not performance but I didn’t think a built air box can still get that nice high pitch flutter sound that a dose pipe offers. Would a dose pipe reduce performance by much?
