Need help just bought a xr6t and when hitting boost around 4000rpm it cuts out and shutters and won't let you boost. But if I disconnect the pipe from intake side of cross over to bov I can rev it oit and boost has brand new plugs and packs genuine

well, then is it supposed to be tuned for 14psi? or is it stock? if it's stock, then it's making too much boost.

ok, so your wastegate flapper or arm or diaphragm is not acting as it should, or there is actually a tune in the vehicle.

Take off the rear heat shield and the dump pipe and have a look at the movement of the actuator and flapper... and if you can connect a compressor to the actuator to see if it correctly actuates and the flapper opens fully when at the right pressure (the actual stock number changes depending on what actual model you've purchased).

Nah, they don't have to be tuned via sct... they can be tuned via hptuners and pcmtec, too.

If you can prove via a compressor that it's opening at hte correct pressure, then it's probably got a tune in it. Take it to ford and get them to put a stock tune back in it, if your car has all stock parts :)

the stock exhaust is twin 2.25" cat-back, so weird that it had a 2.5" cat-back at all, unless it was just for the mufflers being less restrictive... but yeah, all good, good luck with it all :)
