There's 2 pairs - the white and the black.

Took Aidan to a headphone shop for his 13th?? birthday because he wanted a pair of his own.

He listened to heaps over a couple of hours and chose the M50's - the black ones

Dog chewed the cord (was before they were removable) - he replaced them with the white M50X's (now with removable cable)

7 years later he still has them on every day :)

Stick with them and be happy (or better yet don't even take them out of their packaging)

Believe me - it'll be a lot cheaper this way ;)

Either way - I'm more than happy - am getting fantastic sounds for a fraction of the price I would have had to spend getting a full room setup to sound nearly as good for me - and don't need the dedicated space or room.

Curiously though, how much do you reckon you've spent on headphones and associated gear to date?

I just got a WH-1000MX3 and thought they were the gear.....until now.

I love to to sit and listen to music but I had  my right ear destroyed (now a constant ringing) by a machine gun being fired close to it. So don’t think I could appreciate anything better anyway.

All up over $20k

Most will be recouped when I thin out the herd.

Probably about $8k worth will be kept.

Could settle quite happily  for a single setup if I had to with a $1k budget

I've got the 2's (the older model of yours)

Bloody fantastic with the noise cancelling. Have used them on planes, overnight in the hospital, while using a woodchpper etc. Well worth the money.

Might be worth looking into bone conducting headphones?
