I reckon they make a massive difference. Not only to the running conditions for the car but it has to help the longevity of the engine bay components, hoses and harnesses etc.

It did cross my mind given its the simplest mod, but I don't know how to do it. Any ideas? Will it cause a problem in the rain? The vents in the plastic grill, what is that for?

The deal is just held on by push in clips, just hold seal and pull it up gently at the clips, mine didn't break when I did it. I also took seal off my old 300zx and the underbonnet temps dropped heaps, the inlet manifold on it used to get real hot and after I took seal off, I did a 3hour drive and popped bonnet and I could hold my hand on the manifold easy as. Try it, you can always put seal back on.

Show me the roads and I'll show you 300 - fast is never a problem for me. I am used to the R1 and Fireblades at SMSP and Phillip Island 😝

That looks like a factory intake snorkel lol, not some fancy OTR intake.
