I took the car to The Little Trimmer in Castle Hill and David did a great job fixing the problem. https://www.thelittletrimmer.com.au/ 02 9680 1993 I'm about to ask him if he can fix the gear shift boot. Ford tells me that I need to buy a new gear stick to get a new gear shift boot. I have no doubt that The Little Trimmer would be able to sew me up a new boot but I need some advice from guys on the forum ... Is it possible to remove the gear knob to fit a new gear shift boot? Any other info re fitting a new gear shift boot - please let me know. If you give that piece to your trimmer, they should be able to sort it out. If it is a manual, this is what it looks like. invert the boot like a sock to be inside out and you find this. See that zip tie, that is all that holds it in place.
