Do you enjoy, tolerate, hate or loathe Christmas?

I am so happy im single this year. I always got something nice in return but the pressure to find my ex something nice was too intense....she was too materialistic.

Overall I am not religious and I see it as a day to relax with family & friends.

Decided to get hams for the folks and the older kids (with families) - was going to do them myself, but not enough time left to cure them so getting them from my butcher :(

Spa day for my sister

Son wants JBHiFi vouchers (will add in some socks and jocks)

Probably getting socks and jocks myself and maybe some bedding or towels.

Not really taking holidays as such, but the work usually stops at xmas and doesn't really pick up again til mid Jan, so can get away for a while.

Usually spend the time to organise the house/office/yard etc, brew some beer, make some snags (want to do some salami's etc this year)

My granddaughter (4yo) is really into dinosaurs and I've been trying to work out what to get her for xmas.

Decided I'll get her a huge tomahawk steak, tell her it's from a triceratops and help her cook it on boxing day.

I need a new jack but am a bit worried the wife misheard my and I'm getting jacksh!t.

Cooking a half leg of pork in the Weber tomorrow. Standard kettle job with heat beads.

4.7kg, 160mm at the thickest part when load flat. I'm thinking a touch under 3 hours on a hot fire for medium.

Any thoughts@Rab

Sounds great :), just don't have the leg directly over the coals?

Awesome, thanks!

Yep, will have the coal baskets off to the sides so it isn't direct heat. Nice hot fire to get the crackling going. Score the skin, oil ,salt and off we go.

Then bask in the kudos for doing not much really!
