Ok, take the switch out and check for any broken plastic and check the connectors underneath. Or pay an auto-electrician to do the same.

In my FG manual, the switch does not click(if I can remember correctly).

The traction control button is meant to be pressed and held for 3 seconds to turn it off.

Then you press it again quickly to turn it back on.

I'm pretty sure I've got a spare at home left over from wrecking my BA. Inbox me if you like and Ill chuck it in the post. Would at least eliminate a bad switch as the cause before you start throwing money at it.
