A little 3/4 cup thing around the oil pickup. The windage tray and turbo oil return plate are there for the usual reasons, which is to prevent cavitation. You could run a motor without a windage tray but it's more likely to cause cavitation. Ideally you want your oil to stay calm enough to be picked up 100% of the time, regardless of various g forces or splashing/sloshing. This is why windage trays and baffled sumps exist and further, dry sump systems. A motor is a motor regardless of the cylinder count. They all need uninterrupted oil feed.
