How dirty was the old oil that came out compared to new oil does anyone have a pic?

I was also told by dealer the sealed for life story while car was in warranty. Now out of warranty they are more then happy to do it I pressed them on why they wouldn't while I had warranty they had no answer so I'll take it els were.

This is mine out after 115k. Admittedly the container wasn't super clean. If you look at the shallower bit to get a better idea of colour, it isn't awful, but it certainly don't look brand new!59b01d9ef291df7a5239badc4a4d1686.jpg

Puffys on it... I’ve done many a ZF service and can confirm if done regularly and properly the oil drained still looks majoritally cherry red.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't lifeguard start out tan in colour? As I said above, the container want clean either. The stuff I was wiping around the transmission after I removed the pan was basically straw colour.

But yep, the fluid had over 100k on it so definitely time for a change. Will be living the good life now with regular changes with the GW stuff (which is red).

Edit: was typing when Arron posted. But same point.

That oil is likely burnt and  contaminated with clutch fibre material..
