Now that they've done 8 episodes on a bedford van with a barra in it, surely there's some guys here who'd like to discuss what they're doing with this show on mcmtv2 on YouTube, whether that be for specific episodes, build series or anything else they post.

I'm a huge fan of it and absolutely enjoy every minute of every episode.

You can subscribe to mcmtv2 (https://www.youtube.com/user/mcmtv2) to  keep up with the episodes. Myself or others will comment on each episode as it comes out (hopefully)

Discuss away!

I owned a Bedford once. It had a 202 in it and I thought that went pretty good at the time. It's gonna be a quick car with a barra in it.

Also lemon squash aka xxxx mid is garbage.

They have been talking about the exhaust material and how mild steel likes to rust, but it's not that bad.

Plot twist, the rest of that van will rust away to nothing before that exhaust ever will

never had a stainless exhaust crack...

but still, I'm a fan of how they did that scavenging pump setup for the turbo oil drain. Also how they just tacked the exhaust together and then welded it quickly with the highly recommended "look away" welders mask model ahha

also, the end was hilarious :)

Depends on the grade of stainless. Exhaust can use 304 / 316 austenitic  or 409 ferritic. Most modern cars come with 409 stainless from factory.

I've always been taught mild steel expands during heat and stainless stays the same diameter but is prone to cracking again never seen a stainless crack but many exhaust shops have told me.

Does a stainless system have any performance advantages compared to a sh*t steel one? unlikely. Maybe 2hp on the bum dyno? maybe?
If I can't see it & it doesn't effect performance I don't care all that much.
