Im wondering if the pipe connected to the turbo in the pictures seems normal? Looks very burnt. Any help appreciated, Cheers Lance The Turbo spins nicely and does not touch the sides. the oil looked pretty dark though on the lip seen in pic. The metal tape on it does start to peel away if it gets oily, like it looks like in your picture. Never seen that before (and have an FG myself so am not familiar with B series intake piping). Curious! It's a picture of a display engine, one that was originally used to show the intake and turbo piping pathway. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/94102-turbo-check/#findComment-1660546 Share on other sites

They do that to help with turbo spool, it makes more power sooner and believe it or not it also helps with fuel economy. Good pic up!
