Differences between the NA motor and Turbo motor?

Yes they are.

I had 7 of them imported. I plan on keeping 2 and selling the other 5. My last resort is to pull the head off and check the pistons, I was hoping for an external indicator. Is there a way of telling from the bottom? I have heard the turbo motor has piston oil squirters, can anyone confirm this? I would rather pull the oil pan than the head.

I'm mainly trying to decide which 2 motors to keep. If this turns out to be a turbo motor I can sell for a little more. Use that profit to purchase better rods and pistons for the 2 motors I am keeping.

Post an image of the location the turbo oil filter will be.

Those exhaust manifold bolts are not the correct ones.

That motor appears to be a turbo engine. The N/A exhaust manifold may have been installed for transport.

Not really , but yes. You can see the turbo filter has been removed ( hole in block). That is where the oil pressure comes from (has sensor). The sensor in front of that is oil temp. The sensor above is knock sensor. If it has another one at the rear of the engine its BF if only one its a BA.

My opinion it is a turbo motor. If it didnt have a turbo oil line , the oil pressure sensor would be still in the block..

Also note the black/white one way valve in the PCV valve hose. Only turbo has that..

I reckon that aaron is right, only the turbo has a oil temp switch (and the wiring to plug into it) If you were to run it oil would come out the drain back hole so to me , like arron said, the na exhaust was put on for handling purpose's. The inlet manifold has no broadband stuff which is also turbo only
