Strange electrical problems with FG XR6T

I'm having strange electrical problems with my 2010 FG XR6T.

 

They are all random, and come and go. Usually they go when I take it to a mechanic! :(

 

Problems:

- The car turns off randomly and dies.

- The car won't start sometimes (not even an attempt at cranking).

- Dash says fog lights are on (green symbol) when they're not (the fog light switch is off and the fog lights are actually off).

- The airbag light comes on (orange light on dash).

- It comes up "SECURITY CODE" on the head unit (but goes away by itself without actually needing a security code)

- The central locking sometimes doesn't work (not always the same doors play up) I have to crawl around inside the vehicle and manually lock the doors then lock the driver's with the key last.

- The climate control won't turn OFF, even with the ignition off and the doors shut and the central locking locked, the climate control fan stays running.

- Sometimes the climate control wont blow cold air, only hot (even when set to L).

- The dash lights won't turn off, sometimes they fickler off and on.

- Windows at random won't go up or down.

 

All of these issues are random, intermittent and can be solved by either turning the car off or unplugging the battery for a couple of hours.

 

Things tried so far:

- new battery x 2

- new earth wire

- new battery connectors

- checked fuses and connectors under the hood all firmly plugged in.

 

Any ideas?
