Products like the WOLF plugin will actually tune the BTR as it’s part of the PCM, however it’s crude control and they’re a primitive ECU compared to a Haltech Elite. My understanding is that this Haltech Elite release is somewhat unique so there will be things that most people are not familiar with no doubt. When I did the elite training we were provided with a BF base map that included DWB, VCT control etc, but the software didn’t have the lookup tables that the TCM would be looking for...so back then the PCM would need to be retained and the Haltech wired as a standalone. It a great option for the guys who want to run 12 injectors, retain the ZF and have a pain free ECU install.
