Hey ppl!

I know there are alot of V8 fan and there obviously alot of Turbo fans on here but I think the question needed asking!

I know the F6 hasn't been tested or driven by anyone yet, but from what you know what would you take and why? GT or F6?

Happy chosing! :smilielol:

p.s - I hope I don't regret making this thread! ;)

I think personally I'd either have the GT or a XR6 Turbo. I cant justify the extra money on a car that is slower than my current ride and that doesnt have the same heritage as the GT. With the obvious marketing restraints that Ford have due to the GT and GT-P the Typhoon was never going to be the car it should have been. It needed 300kw's and some sort of bonnet mods, either the bulge or vents, or both.

With the relative cheap mods available to the "T" knowledgeable people will have trouble justifying the price. The car looks great and I personally like the wheels but if it starts at $55000ish and you add on roads and a few extras its going to be around the $65000+ mark on the road for the average motorist. That would give me $18000+ to spend on mods. With that I could get either the APS or Nispro kits that will give me around the 350kw's. I could also spend $3000-$4000 on decent brakes. Spend a little on the suspension and interior and you have a custom made car to your own liking for a cheaper price that will go a lot quicker.

These are only my thoughts and obviously everyone thinks differently, but you did ask for peoples thoughts. :smilielol:

The proposed price is alot more to pay over a standard T. I would rather stay with the xr6T than a typhoon and spend the approx. $15,000 elsewhere.

At this stage I agree with Geea

When they bring it out with a 6 speed auto it will be a different scenario ;)

Heck with 18K you could install a 6 speed manual trans and a stage 2 mod and hammer the Typhoon. You'd also have plenty of change left over to buy a years worth of Krsipy Kreams :banghead:

I reckon it will be closer to 25k but then you will go from a 2003 car to a 2005 model with the FPV badge and FPV extra's and 3 years factory warranty

This car is [should be] ideal for those whinging about modding their T but being worried about warranty. Spent the extra money over a stock T and get an F6, get an extra 30kw and god knows how much more torque, get lots of other FPVy thingy badges whoopeedoos, AND GET YA BLOODY FULL WARRANTY. But I can hear it now............'I want to put a stage 2 kit on my Typhoon, but bloody Ford won't cover it under warranty..............................)
