You are wrong. The GT is the fastest production Falcon of all time. The T3 ran 14.2 on the quarter and the GT runs 13.9. Some stock GT's have run as quick as 13.7 at Calder. The only recorded time from a magazine roadtest for the GTHO P3 was in Wheels magazine and was something like 14.2, but this may have been with the highest diff ratios and wide ratio gearbox. No one really knows how quick the Phase 3 was straight off the showroom floor with close ratio gearbox and 3.9 diff ratio which were options, but the skinny tyres would have held it back.

I assume the F6 will take the title after it's released until the supercharged Boss shows it head.

The T3 was officiallyrecorded at 14 sec flat for the SS100m. Most magazine tests confirmed this figure. The GT has official times at 14.3 secs. This is also the figure reported by most magazine tests. There may be some individual cars of both models which do better or worse, but these are the official figures.

The Phase 3 was always considered a 14.3 sec car. Only the E38 (and then the E49) was under 14 secs in those days. An XU1 was also around 14.3 secs.

The F6 should easily run in high 13s. Maybe a 13.7 I would expect.

Stock XR6T Vs Stock F6

Would have to look at a few facts Running Costs for avg family man

1. price of car XR6T ? F6?

2. 17" tyres Vs 18" tyres to replace

3. brakes Xr6t not bad not the best F6 brembo did I once read $1100 to replace pads fords price

4. extra fuel in F6

5. Insurance prem of F6 over T

6. Lower ride height to watch out for going in driveways

7.extra attention from unwanted hoods in car parks

8.lets not 4get the attention from the boys in blue its hard enough keeping the beast at the speed limit as it is without wanting to open her up

Lets be honest the stock XR6T goes and goes and will take on just about anything ,for the money running cost the stock XR6T is a great performer.

Motor magazine ran 13.98 for the GT and 14.2 for the T3. Ford claims to have run as quick as 13.8 during testing of the GT.

The Typhoons biggest problem will be getting off the line without turning the tyres to smoke, and with all that low down torque it won't be easy.

Argh, good to see the cub scouts having a little niggle amongst themselves.

From everything I have read, venom is right. Unfortunately no one wins these discussions though.

Mind you I win everyday, cos I drive a GT and I couldnt give a rats fat crack about 1/4 mile times or o-100k times. Ive said it before, its a long way to anywhere up here, so you might as well relax & enjoy the ride.

I think you turbo boys have gotten a bit twisted with your short runs!

Look at the bigger picture and enjoy your motoring in Australias newest cult car.

Typhoon will be the go for me, as it will be a company car, mods are not acceptable so to have something a "bit" unique the F6 will look good in my garage.

GT although tempting doesn't have the elite status a GT deserves.

I wonder how a FPV F6 UTE will look if any for all you ute fans out there buy buy maloo

I would be interested in a ute version as I need a ute for work, a sedan just wouldn't work. As long as it didn't look to much like the pursuit or much the same as I've already got. Doubt it will happen though can only dream. if a sedan was a option for me I'd choose the F6 over the GT

You'd have to take the GT for the sheer fact that it is a Classic peice of Ford History, who doesn't want to be a part of that!

I actually agree with Turbo6man. If I could get a really clean, well looked after Venom TE50 (T3), I'd take that over either. Not going to wade into the debate over times, because I don't know, but the AU was the most underated car I have come across. Loved it. All it needed was more power, like what the 5.6 ltr gave it.
