The current catch can has no breather and is running back to the turbo...is it really necessary to run the line back to the turbo? how are you guys running your catch cans? Here are three to choose from. I use the first one. You need 2. One on each breather circuit. https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/OIL-CATCH-CAN-SUIT-HOLDEN-COMMODORE-LS1-LS2-LS3-VT-VX-VY-VZ-VE-VE-V6-BLACK-/120793190513 https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/0-5L-OIL-CATCH-CAN-FOR-HOLDEN-COMMODORE-LS1-LS2-LS3-VT-VX-VY-VZ-VE-VE-V6-BLACK/272432793134?hash=item3f6e42862e:g:om8AAOSwpCpZuKUR https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/SAAS-ST1004-500cc-Baffled-Oil-Catch-Tank-Can-W-10mm-14mm-Fittings-Machined-/173119636854 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/93881-oil-catch-can-tips/#findComment-1656195 Share on other sites

Can I run both PCV And Breather to one catch can then vent it atmo or is better of still pluming back to intake ? https://imgur.com/a/T6x2iH3 Edited 29/04/18 08:50 AM by BoostedG6E Add Photo Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/93881-oil-catch-can-tips/#findComment-1656483 Share on other sites
Typhoon Member 564 Member For: 20y 6m 23d Gender: Male Posted 29/04/18 10:28 AM Share Posted 29/04/18 10:28 AM You can run both to the one can and then vent it. You generally should increase your lines if this is the method used as no vacuum assist means the motor will only be able to exhaust as much as your lines can flow. A full plumb back system will most likely need a check valve or two installed. If you run both to one can and then plumb it to the turbo you will be ok if your running a blow off valve, otherwise a check valve would be a good idea at the vacume hose to turbo. The setups for these cars are a little hit and miss. Dion Amato tells me the Barras not as bad for crank case pressures compared to RBs and 2JZ motors. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/93881-oil-catch-can-tips/#findComment-1656484 Share on other sites

You'd either dump it to atmosphere or run it to the intake pipe before the compressor. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/93881-oil-catch-can-tips/#findComment-1656485 Share on other sites
