Hippos21 New Member 2 Member For: 7y 1m 27d Posted 06/04/18 08:27 AM Share Posted 06/04/18 08:27 AM Have a 2003 BA XR6 Turbo Ute and it has a surge when cold and driving around at low throttle that seems to go away once warmed up. It also surges under boost but not all the time. Have replaced inlet gaskets fuel pump and replaced all vacuum lines etc. is running A/R50 turbo with big front mount and 12 pound tune. Does have GFB BLOW OF VALVE THAT IM NOT SURE ABOUT! Seems to be bleeding off at low boost. Boost will fluctuate between 5-12psi when it surges! Didn’t realise that the trans talked to main ECM and as it was slipping lightly it was causing engine to cut boost! Getting trans rebuilt with AU pump and planetary gears which are better and cheaper I have been told. Will update once done and let everyone know how it goes!
