BF xr6 Turbo

Hi im new to the site, I just bought a new BF Xr6 turbo and im wondering whats the most cost effective way to getting some poke out of it, where do I start?

tell us what state you're in and someone will recommend a tuner.

 

then get around 10-15000$ and visit the recommended tuner.

 

then go do some fat skids and post videos of fat skids with dyno sheets

 

sound good?

1st step is working out the state of the gear - km's, mk/series 1 2 3, hard life etc

Ok its a MK2 silver, 180,000kms dont want anything too stupid just want a little more performance from the car what do yuou guys reccomend

you'd want a tune, whether using an xcal or hp tuners it depends on your tuner. easily $1-2000 for this part including the xcal (you might be able to find an xcal 3 or 4 cheap like a mate of mine did and theres a guy who unlocks married ones for a fee).

 

injectors, id1000 id recommend..easily another $700-1000 not sure what these go for.

 

could easily stop here, you'd have a fair bit more poke except on a hot day you'd probably wish you fitted a bigger intercooler

 

beyond this point id be looking at a bigger intercooler, maybe even a whole kit with intake and the pipework. a bigger exhaust system (bigger catalytic converter and dump pipe).

Standard rate for tuners are $900 

Though if the tuner uses SCT factor in another $600 for the SCT box, that box stays with u and gives u data logging and fault codes if any pop up.

Id suggest - injectors, high flow cat, dump pipe, and cooler, those parts can be found second hand and mite only cost $1500-2k, new it would be around $3500-4k.

 

The car would gain around 100rwkw from those mods
