Fuel Delivery Problems?

Nah was another workshop.

The whisperer just gave me the knowledge and tools to carry out my own inspection.

Fuel issue is on going Keith and ill keep updating as I go to help others that may run into this crap.

Once the replacement pump goes in the tank ill check the fuel filter. Injectors are also on the list to be checked. Whisperer also mentioned checking the cats.

Slow process of eliminating problems.

Small update.

I cleaned the fuel filter, reusable stainless fiter, though it still looked in very good condition. Pulled injectors out and refitted with new orings.Pulled regulator apart to check diaphram and all ok. New spark plugs fitted. After all of this car had been running and idling better then it ever has even though it still has a lack of horsepower.

Then I get this, and a engine misfire code(a different cylinder this time) which causes me to spend some time on the side of the hwy. A trip to the servo for more fuel, even though there was just under a half a tank still left, fixed my problem.

I felt the car surging moments before this happened so my theory is the intank pump assy is shot.

I have ordered a replacement and am still waiting for this to test my theory.

 

I also mentioned in an earlier post about fuel pressure regulator sound. I havent had a chance to record the sound as I am keeping well off boost for the time being but I have found a video that matches my problem.
