Hi,

I reside in Townsville, I have just purchased a fg xr6t (330rwkw) with 70,000km from Brisbane. I believe the car is running Castrol magnatec semi synthetic 10w-30, should I change to a different viscosity due to the higher ambient temps up here in North QLD?

Pretty new to all of this

Can someone recommend the best brand and type?

I would go a fullsyn

That's what I've used for 120000kms and 80000 tuned and have had no issues whatsoever

Even had the head off and it's in perfect condition

I was super lazy at the start and only did 15k service interval
