COS 15W40 IS TOO THICK AND MAKES LESS POWER WHY DOES EVERYONE WHO OWNS A FORD THINK YOU NEED THICK AS OIL IN THIS DAY AND AGE ITS NOT A FREAKIN 202 FOR FCKS SAKE I RUN MINE ON 5W30 CASTROL EDGE AND IT LOVES IT EVEN SEEMS TO GO A BIT HARDER AND REV SMOOTHER

Oil thickness (and hence strenght) is a function of temperature.

Turbo's run exceedinly (red) hot and notwithstanding bearing cooling systems etc, a tubo engine is still a high heat soak environment.

The hotter you run your car (turbo, racing, turbo+racing) the more you compensate for the high temperature environment via the use of high viscosity oils.

So 5w-30 is specified for my bf mk2, but I am getting the gtx3582r fitted next week. think I found the perfect oil, should make more power.

Is it a fair statement saying old oil remover is diesel ??

I heard it once but didnt think much if it
