have a look at the design of the top of motor and you will see why a good mineral is a good choice for these.

well,my uncle owns West Torrens Dyno and he is pretty much the most respected tuner/mechanic in Adelaide and he recommends it.My tuner that does the falcon turbo also recommends it for daily work, even in his built motors under warranty.

If what you said was true then some form of "crap" would have been found in my last two oil reports.I can forward them on to you if needed so you know im not typing chit.

Im going by MY own experiences which is a match to alot of others I know running it.as for it being like water.......come on bloke lets keep it real aye.I suggest you do some more research regarding this oil and its properties it holds.

CAVPOWER use it in their heavy machinery also.

Well mate, you put what you want in your car and "your" experiences. I just expressed mine and "my" experiences. They can't be any more "mine" other than the fact I was physically present at the time. Theory and marketing are very different to prac. I'm not saying that your wrong or right I'm just sharing my experiences.

Good deal from Supercheap Auto on Nulon 10W40 at the moment. Buy the six litre and get the one litre free. You definitely need more than six litres for an oil change, as I discovered during my last Nizpro service. Made the switch from their Mobil to Nylon and couldn't be happier.

Valvoline durablend.

Heard good things about this oil good bang for your buck. Put nulon 10w- 40 in the g6et after 45000km of magnatec and it seems noisier with the nulon and not as smooth. Might go back to magnatec or try the durablend or royal purple.

Well, I got my 3000km service this morning. When I rang to book it, I told the receptionist woman I wanted a full mineral oil and filter change. All good, she noted my request down and said there would be an extra charge.

Arrived this morning and the guys says '...and we'll be changing your semi-synthetic oil as requested'. I did a 'huh' moment and said its not synthetic till 15,000 according to the book and when I questioned he was sure they used semi-synthetic from factory. Then he thought to himself an muttered 'but it's a Turbo' which I said yes so off he went to some other guy to check with him. Comes back and apologises that yes, it is mineral.

Anyway, it all ended up OK. Cost $75 for the change with filter which was better than I was expecting and it's marked in the log book.

Mine took about 6.8Ltr on my last service. I must have let it drain it right out. I bought some "street-track" nulon 15w -50. seems to be good thus far.

How you finding the Street/Track Nulon stuff now?

I put it in my FG yesty.

Pretty happy with it, had it in my FG XR6T as well. I'm mean at the end of the day I'll always idel my car first thing in the morning for about a minute or two before I drive it. And I'll always do an oil change every 5000 - 6000km so I can't see any reason Nulon would ever give us any issues street or track.
