As I've said previously, this test is pretty simple, and I'd like to see these oils subjected to a more realistic test in an actual engine at proper operating temperatures.

But surely you don't think that some of the bad performers in this (industry standard and accepted) test will get better under harsher conditions do you?

Not particularly, I'm more interested in the completeness of a test. Maybe (and who knows) a good performer in this type of test may not do as well in the "real world".

Last time I checked there was more than one moving part in an engine :finger:

Still a good read nonetheless - wouldn't regard it as conclusive though.

I use nulon 15-40w it's only semi synth.but it matches the factory recomended wieght for the oil

others run nulon 10-40w full synthetic that seems good

and all other types as well
