Seeing that pleases me. I used to use penrite in my old car and now use Valvoline in the T not sure if its the dura blend though think its called syn power.

IB uses it too in his T . Looks like you dont get what you pay for

Good to see an aussie oil do so well to (penrite)

I am currently running castrol edge which is formula R re packaged but I won't be changing based on that test, way to many variable involved. Some interesting reading in there none the less, as one of the LS1 guys said it would be interesting to see how the oils performed if tested again after they had done 10,000 kms in a motor.

I did see this article in a magazine a while ago, but I could not find it again out of the stack of 100 magazines..

As I've said previously, this test is pretty simple, and I'd like to see these oils subjected to a more realistic test in an actual engine at proper operating temperatures.

But surely you don't think that some of the bad performers in this (industry standard and accepted) test will get better under harsher conditions do you?
