10w60 in summer, might switch to 0w40 this winter, as it takes around 15 minutes of driving to get to normal oil pressure using 10w60 in the cold mornings

10w60 is what castrol recommend for modified t's

I do my oil changes every 5000 or 6 months with a k&n oil filter ($18)

($60 for 5litres of 10w60 castrol edge)

^^^ I would think time would be ok mate but If only doing 10-12k a year I'd do two changes.

I do mine every ten. Wth supercheap castrol synthetic. Cheap, good and lasts ten thou...just. If I did a track day I would change it.

Coolant and brakes once a year as well as diff oil.

Auto...when it breaks

Just changed from the stock crap to some full synth Nulon 10-40 on the weekend and what a differene to what was in before. Normally on really cold morning and at night on the way home the car idles really rough and is very lumpy, last 2 days since getting the new oil in and she's purring like a kitten straight away, very nice! Even though here in Canberra we've been having -5 mornings. Wish I'd made the change earlier than 53k kms, but oh we'll every 7500 from now on. All round it feels a lot smoother even once completely warmed up.

I pulled my rocker cover off a while ago and had not done an oil change for a good 8-10k of hard driving (slack ass I usually do it every 5000kms), not to my suprise the engine oil (Nulon 10-40W) was pretty black but the oil was still stuck to everything, keeping inside the spaces between the the teeth of the cam gears that where upsidedown..... the sh*t was stuck to everything.

I had to get some work done later and pulled the rocker cover off again roughly 800kms after an oil change.. I found everything was clean no more black anywhere and again the oil was stuck to everything doing its job.

I did have concern about the Nulon 10w40 based on a post about sludge. I spoke to my tuner and they use Nulon products in both Holdens & Fords. They haven't pulled down an I6 that's been on this oil and found excessive sludge build up. So, I'm sticking with it.
