Maximus Member 1,627 Member For: 17y 7m 21d Gender: Male Location: Slip Sliding Away Posted 10/08/10 09:35 AM Share Posted 10/08/10 09:35 AM When you say there was no oil in it how much oil came out when you pulled the sump plug out?I cant believe that any enginer would last longer than 10min with no oil.A guy at work once filled his civic up to the top of the oil cap and wondered why it didn't even turn over.I think he put in about 10 litres or something stupid like that.Mechanic at the servo came out emptied most out and he drove it home blowing so much smoke he couldn't see behind him. Had it had its first oil change yet after the rebuild? As Maximus said,how much oil came out of the sump when you drained it. Not too good considering only 5000km old.
