swanee and ms700,

Yes! Yes! There is a Dog!!! (as you can see, I'm a dyslexic atheist).

Sorry guys, I didn't notice that one of the part numbers was duplicated. I just copied the numbers from each of the 3 little bags I got the parts given to me in.

As for the price, I have no idea. I don't work for Ford. However I've bought my last seven cars from the same dealership, so I know the service/parts guys well and they look after me somewhat.

Whatever the part numbers and prices, just check out the leather boot thingy as it appears on the BA Fairlane and ask for that (if you want one that is). It was checking out a Fairlane that gave me the idea in the first place.

Humble apologies for any confusion!

Great find.

Any chance of getting the other number?

I am interested in purchasing the parts.

:o Sorry troops. Let's try again.

1. NLF434A14A6 (leather strap around $13.56);

2. V 800537 S36C (bolt around $1.45);

3. V 820183 S36D (retaining clamp around $1.45).

Hopefully that'll do the trick. Looks really classy with the felt boot-lid insulation thingy. :hiwelcome:

Leave boot fully open, get in car, start, put in first. Bring the revs up to 2000 rpm, then drop the clutch. You should hear a neat little clunk as the boot closes.
