Hi Guys

Does anyone know much about the PWR Front Mount Intercooler for the XR6T ?

I have been told that it bolts onto existing brackets and plumbing. Very easy to install.

The stock intercooler is good for 12PSI. How much boost will the PWR intercooler take?

PWR Intercooler cost $770.00

Be careful the pressure drop across that intercooler is horrific. I would seriously stick with with the stock ford cooler as it is pressure drop V charge air temperature that you need, and from what I have seen that intercooler has a larger pressure drop than the stock ford cooler. :( No point in going backwards.

I have had the PWR cooler on the car and then off again. Peter is correct, it has 3 pounds more restriction than the standard intercooler has and was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent.

What do you think of installing a Watersprayer kit on the stock intercooler?

Would there be any benifits ie driving the car hard in hot weather? I ask because on saturday it was very hot in brisy 40 degrees.

You might notice 1 or 2 degrees reduction in inlet temperatures, whether this is enough for you to spend the required money is your decision :)

 A good water spray system would be worth while and will help to reduce charge air temperature in high load conditions, the water reservoir is always the problem in terms of sufficient capacity. We can set/control the water spray system through the unichip computer so its really only an issue of sorting the water reservoir.
