Just started noticing this whine sound over the past few weeks which appears to be clutch related at the friction point. Quite evident pulling off into first, and a much shorter and softer note from 1-2. Clutch is an Ace Opt 4 installed in my FG. Anyone heard this before or know what it is? See video link below. Using the time stamp, second 21 (pulling off) and 26 (shifting into 2nd).

Welcome to the world of cerametallic clutches. They don't like to slip and are quite noisy when doing so. They will also weld themselves to the flywheel if they are slipped excessively.

The technique I used to apply was a rev blip and basically pop the clutch and you're off.

A twin organic/coppermix is a better deal for a street car.

Would you call that slip? It certainly doesn't feel like slip.

You're right though, if I give it some revs with the clutch disengaged, let go of the accelerator, then the clutch, its good. That doesn't work so good on a hill though....or at slow speeds in a car park or in reverse.
