I was trying to squeeze some info out of the FPV blokes RE the gearbox and all I could get was, "It is definately worth waiting for". He wouldn't say if it was Getrag or Tremec of anything however the more I pushed the more it sounded like it would be a six speed... :DThe latest rumor is the Typhoon will only be available with an auto trans on release most likely a 6 speed ZF auto and later on in early 05 with a 6 speed Getrag manual trans. Will be interesting to see what eventuates, if the engine has 550 Nm of torque no doubt a bigger/stronger auto trans will be required. Can't say I like the wheels, but hey, that's what the aftermarket is for as I am yet to see a nice wheel design by ford/fpv. Also not a big fan of 3 post rear wings.. I also think Ford have done the right thing at setting the F6 at 'only' 270 kw............................that's heaps for a factory aussie six(like 240 wasn't enough.) But 550Nm....Woohoo ............who cares about weight when ya got that much torque?
