The GT looks well balanced with the wing and bonnet bulge, l guess the Typhoon looses some of that balance as the bodykit is essentially the same except for a slightly redesigned rear wing. that's why some sort of bonnet venting may have helped finish the look off.

my sentiments exacltly.. :thumbsup:

a couple more days and l'll see it in the flesh, hopefully it will look more

appealing then..

"I like the shape!"

Can't wait to see it at the Melb motor show, no doubt it will be on one of those turn table thingys so you can't get all over it :finger:

The Typhoon is getting good feedback from the ls1 forum boys as well! :thumbsup:

I'm not a great follower of car shows, but the FPVT will draw me to the Perth Motor Show no probs, look forward to seeing it in 'the flesh' :smilielol:

Sorry Owna mate but the DJ XR8 is appaling to look at, granted lowering it is good, although hit a cigarette butt on the road and you will scrape the front fender, bad enough in the GT :angry: but the the interior, black leather in the black car......OK, but that much orange or red looks hideous, imagine if you ordered Citric Acid......you wouldn't be able to sit in the car for more than 15 mins without suffering permenant eye damage. :lol: Personally I think it will be a dud.

hmmm my thoughts and my thoughts only.

270kw = meh

550nm = hmmm

bodykit = take it or leave it, grill mesh is far to 'obvious'

wing = xr style, slightly higher with centre pillar, easy fix for those wanting similar wing on thier turbo, go to a fibre glasser/carbon fibrer and get some 1 inch high spacers moulded to give it a illusion it's sitting higher.

wheels = hmmm/meh

interior = I'd prefer blue

brakes = about time... whats the retail on one of those?

*classic fast and furious quote*

anyways.. I'll wait to see one on the street.

Nice but why do manufacturers persist with big wings

I like the gurney flap on the DJR Falcon much better

and I thought there would be some bonnet venting for the Turbo.

Oh well, it still looks 'nice'

;) Plonky , hard call with the bonnet venting - we tried all sorts of different bonnet venting on Range Rovers and Land Rover V8s when I worked in the NT . The 3,5 litre V8 is a good engine but was hampered with high underbonnet temperatures , any venting that we created on the top of the bonnet worked in extracting the heat , however it fed the expelled heat and fumes back into the cabin air intake . The solution was to have some 4 inch ducting at the top of the fire wall and vent these to the panel in front of the doors , I also used marine engine compartment air extractors (fans) inline in the ducts so that in heavy off road conditions we still had a reasonable airflow out of the engine compartment , we also designed engine and transmission oil coolers that were mounted in the bullbars and had extractor fans to create airfow for slow off road conditions . These modifications reduced our engine operating temperature by 40 degrees F , from 220f to 180f.

No probs redhawk.After reading your comments I had to dig up the issue of wheels that features his beast and when I think about it I dont really like the body kit that much, although I like the rear wing and the quad pipes and its mean low stance. but getting back to the typhoon I dont like the mesh as much as I like the GTP's. from the front of the GTP is the best looking ford from the front that's available.

I agree with you saleen about it wont be disapoiting if the 270kw is underated but if it turns out being only 270 I will be disapointed, and even if I could hose off any other Ford available( pre mods) it wouldnt be the point, it aint ford I want a hose its holdens!!! :)

I too prefer an understated look of no rear spoiler. Simple solution to this is to get FPV not to put a wing on when you place your order.

For some reason the word Photoshop came into my mind as soon as I saw this thread. I really hope that they have another color for the show cause that one suxx! :unsure:
