use a hair dryer to heat up the adhesive then u can just use your finger nail to pop it off.Use some metho to clean off the glue that is left on it, and NO, metho will not harm your paint.Ihave the badges removed of the boot and I think it just looks cleaner

For a safer approach, you can use Prepsol or any type of paint preparation product after removing with the fishing line. This strips off EVERYTHING except the paint, meaning polishes, waxes, tar and grime. Best to do it this way then reapply your waxes etc to complete the job.

Cheers for the advice people.

The plan is to remove the Ford and Falcon badge from the rear of my black XRT ute.

I'm going for the Clean N Mean Night Rider look.

I'll post some shots soon.

Easiest way to do so is fishing line slide it underneath the badge and POP it comes off easy, then you get metho and clean up the sticky stuff :smilielol:

Even easier :pics:

Try using a heat - gun or hair - dryer heating up the badge from a distance then wipe with PREPSOL to remove the sticky stuff. :pics:
