We continue to do so. At this stage the Turbo's are the best performers $$$ wise in our fleet. It helps that I love the car too. We will keep buying them for as long as the market for them works in our favour. May that be for a long time. And yes the car I drive continues to change, but be the same model. This is driven by economic factors. I would like a GT-P, but it aint gonna happen. So I drive my turbo's around, what a problem to have.

6000km's since Dec. 22nd and loved every moment...

great car, great colour and great options...I would have liked the sunroof but funds and time did not permit...

also to note: great forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I didn't have the T, I would prolly be sitting on an SS forum somewhere ooo scary :oooh:

Oh yeah?

Coz they're such similar vehicles right?

Similar? Well Yes, 200 + kw Rear Drive sports or sport orientated Cars. Close price when specced to an equal level.

One Australian Made and manufactured, the other fully imported Japanese.

I have Yet to hear of anyone complaining about a 350Z, (before I get flamed, I am sure someone somewhere has a problem with one)

Taking a look around here will show you some "quality control" problems with the Australian Made car.

So back to the original question, "Would you (me) Purchase an XR6 Turbo again?"

No, I would not, I would instead purchase a similarly performed and priced Japanese manufactured car.

Only thing is that Im not really in the position of making our Japanese process worker happy!

I've already gotten the T!

N.B unless someone has invented a time machine and not told anyone!

My Vote?

No, and probably never any Ford ever again.

The concept = Brilliant

The performance = Brilliant

The On Road Drive = Brilliant

Value for $$$ = Brilliant

Quality = Awful

Customer Care = Shocking

Dealer(s) = Shocking

Sounds like a cliche, but at this point in time a 350Z should have been the way I should have gone.

Cameron, what you said is what I fear the most when it comes time to get rid of my AU XR6. Quality issues and dealers who think the one with the brass are idiots. :finger: I can tell you I would have one if it wasn't for those issues mentioned. The Jap option is probably the way to go and after buying the Mazda6 I have no doubt the experience will be pleasant.

If I could get away with 2 seats, I'd certainly go a 350Z...but last I looked they're dearer than a T by some margin, so perhaps that's not quite a fair comparison.

A fairer comparison is probably a GT Liberty...I drove a B4 before getting the T (no comparison), but the GT is meant to be better, so I'd certainly look at one of those now.

I would not consider an RX8 - I've had the "pleasure" of an RX7...reliability wasn't its strong suit. It was a lesson for me that Japanese doesn't necessarily translate to good.

If I had my time over I would definitely buy again... but with different options.

Getting an early build (Nov03) there wasn't much info avaiable from other owners about the options - of course, there also wasn't a three month wait ;)

The best car I have owned :smilielol:

If only I had ticked the premium brakes option instead of Sat-Nav Oh well !!

I will be trading up to the Series II
