I get the code P1227 - wastegate failed closed (over pressure)I have checked lines from turbo to solenoid and solenoid to actuator.I then sprayed compressor air into the actuator line and it opened very easily. So I decided to change the solenoid. And it's still doing the same thing.I'm wanting to know if anyone has had the same problem, and what it was for them.I need the car so it's kind of hard to leave it with a mechanic. And help is appreciated. Ebony New Member 1 Member For: 7y 9m Posted 27/05/17 10:13 PM Share Posted 27/05/17 10:13 PM Hey, I had overboost problems after getting my heads replaced on my BA XR6T Mechanics couldn't find a solution until I got my mechanic to put one of these (type) on. Might be helpful. I have had no wastegate or overboost issues since and it's dialled up from the factory PSI setting. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TURBOSMART-Ford-XR6-Turbo-BA-BF-FG-12-PSI-Internal-Wastegate-Actuator-FPV-/110968967827
