Guys,

I priced a new gear lever boot at my local Ford dealer the other day -  $600+ !!!    It comes with the entire gear level and requires gearbox removal to fit.    That's not gonna happen!

Any ideas?

One more issue.  Can anybody recommend a trusted air conditioner mechanic in the Castle Hill Parramatta Blacktown areas?  Or areas not too far from these?   Thanks.

Doesn't require the box to be removed. 10-20 minute job at the most. Maybe ebay might be worth checking for parts and fit yourself, its an easy job.

Here ya go.

Thanks mate.  I will check it out.  APPRECIATED.

And mine is a 6 speed manual - not an auto.

What's the removal procedure?  Unscrew the gear knob and the gear lever boot unclips from the console?

Anybody able to recommend a good aircond service centre in western Sydney?

Just unclip the gear surround. There are 2 bolts on the bottom of the leaver.

From memory the boot is integrated with the stick and and knob and surround.

@PAH if you don't care going non-genuine, these guys do a replacement

Only $60

IMO the best thing you can do is piss the stock shifter off altogether and replace it with something solid mounted, best recent mod I've done

Just my 2c though

Legend camo, just what I'm after. My brand new second hand boot doesn't look to great.

Yeh mine's rooted also, I'm just not 100% sold on the geunine leather they use - sometimes fake looks better lol

They do handbrake boots as well, pity there's no black stitching option
